Village Homesteading of Mundelein is in charge of the Fremont Township Community Garden. They are looking for all types of volunteers to help them with the Garden. Everyone is welcome, from the Beginner to the Garden Pro.

The volunteer opportunities are plentiful and rewarding. You can sign up as an individual or you can get your friends together for a team effort. Clubs and organizations are encouraged to get in on the action as well.

The mission of Village Homesteading Mundelein is to inspire and encourage sustainability and self-sufficiency, through education and altruism for the enrichment of local community.

Workshops, seminars and hands-on learning opportunities include, but not limited to; environmental programs, organic gardening, traditional arts, food preservation, and local events.

Let’s talk about: gardening, home improvement, animal husbandry, urban farming, home brewing, canning, recipes, painting, bee keeping, budget improvement, and everything sustainable on 1/10th of an acre suburban plots!
Conservation of resources applies to all areas of life- even money.
