Prescription Drug Take Back Day at Fremont Township
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Coalition for Healthy Communities are sponsoring Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Sat., Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Fremont Twp. Administration Center. This one-day event will provide residents with no cost anonymous collection of unwanted and expired medicines.

In 1850, when the township form of government was adopted in Lake County, each township set about selecting a name. In the township that would become Fremont, located between Libertyville and Wauconda, the names initially suggested were Hale, Gilmer, Fort Hill, Seneca, Haddam and Tickleville.
