What is CERT?
Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) educate people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and train them in basic response skills. The training prepares community members to assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders cannot be immediately available to help. CERT members also support emergency response agencies by taking an active role in emergency preparedness projects within their community. Meet new people in your community and make sure you are prepared for an emergency!
Fremont CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is offering their great six-week annual training program that covers these important topics:
• Disaster Preparedness
• Fire Safety
• First Aid Skills
• Light Search & Rescue Operations
• Disaster Psychology
Taking this FREE class gives you crucial lifesaving information for you and your family—with an option to join Fremont CERT and help others as well. Our spring class at the Fremont Township office will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:30pm, from January 28 to March 3, 2020.
