New Law On Cellphone Use While Driving
Illinois drivers caught using — or even just holding — a cellphone while driving will be issued a moving violation ticket under a new state law that started July 1.
If a driver gets three offenses in one year, then his or her license will be suspended.
Plus, the law applies to not only cellphones but also includes any “electronic communication device,” including tablets, laptop computers and hand-held personal digital assistants.
