Message from the Township Supervisor

DIANA O'KELLY

Dear Fremont Residents

Fremont Township is proud to support our community through a wide range of services for residents facing financial hardship. Our office administers General Assistance, Emergency Assistance, and LIHEAP, and we provide referrals to individuals and families in crisis.

Our food pantry serves more than 1,000 people each year and operates entirely through the generosity of our community. In addition, our organic garden provides fresh, healthy produce to low-income seniors and neighbors in need. This program thrives thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and the continued support of local schools, churches, businesses, neighborhoods, Scout Troops, the Post Office, Park on Park, and the annual Grand Dominion Car Show.

Fremont Township parks are enjoyed by over 2,000 children annually, offering opportunities to participate in football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and playground activities. In response to resident requests, we also transformed the basketball court at Behm Park into three pickleball courts, which are now heavily used and appreciated by the community.

Did you know we offer a free community room at the Township facility? It’s available for events such as scouting meetings, homeowners’ associations, and club gatherings. Our bridge group meets on Mondays, and we welcome additional groups interested in games like pinochle, poker, or mahjong. With 10 card tables available, we can comfortably accommodate your group. For more information, please call 847-223-2847.

We also invite you to stay informed by joining our email newsletter, which already reaches over 5,000 residents. You’ll receive updates on emergency information, road closures, public hearings, and local events. To subscribe, email me at diana@fremonttownship.com.

If you need assistance or have questions, feel free to contact our office at 847-223-2847.

You can also stay connected by following our Fremont Township Facebook page.

We are grateful for your continued support and involvement in making Fremont Township a strong and caring community.

Sincerely,

Diana O'Kelly
