Job Description
Fremont Township is a small office atmosphere and is seeking an organized, professional and efficient individual to perform administrative support for the Assessor’s office. The successful candidate will be willing to learn and assist the office with maintaining property records through the computer assisted mass appraisal of all township properties. The individual will also be able to assist township residents with any tax related questions, filing for exemptions, and any other relevant assistance.
Required Skills
The candidate must possess an understanding of the county CAMA system and be willing to learn the process of valuation for the Township (including both residential and commercial property). Other skills include: understanding and meeting the deadlines for the assessment and tax cycle; producing sales ratio studies; creating and defending assessments; review and prepare evidence for hearings; track and post new constructions; update property records in the CAMA system; and ensure PTABs are reviewed with evidence submitted.
Required Experience
The successful candidate should have a history of related clerical/administrative experience within a similar environment. A CIAO designation will be given consideration.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
The office hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 3:30 pm creating a 35 hour work week.
